With the purpose of identifying national and local models and practices that enable the integration of students in the labor market, six roundtables were developed by JA of Albania as part of the project “3E – English – Entrepreneurship – Employability” which is being implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Tirana. The roundtables were held during the April-June period 2022 in partnership with the Universities “Fan S. Noli” Korça, “Aleksandër Xhuvani” Elbasan, “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës, “Ismail Qemali” Vlora and “Eqerem Çabej” Gjirokastër. Part of these roundtables became various actors, who have roles and responsibilities in terms of creating an enabling an environment that promotes the employment of young people in general and students in particular, specifically Career Departments at the respective Universities, university professors, representatives from structures of the respective Municipalities, Labor Offices, as well as students part of the Debate Clubs. In each of the roundtables, model national and local practices were presented by experts of the field, while participating students addressed the challenges they face in making national and local policies applicable to each student. The roundtables highlighted the need to re-dimension the role and commitment of Career Departments in Universities in terms of informing students about the opportunities that really exist to enable rapid integration into the labor market.
