53 representatives of key public institutions, non-governmental organization, teachers and students of different high schools from Korça Region participated in the round table organized by JAA in the frame of the By leap project.
The representatives of public institutions and NGO-s were informed about the Student’s Companies Program and agreed on the need to be consistently closer to the schools and students, to better inform them on the services they provide and involve them in different regional and local initiatives or activities focused on entrepreneurship and business development. They considered this round table as the first step towards establishing direct and continuous communication with students and schools.
The students emphasized in their discussion the need to be supported more by the stakeholders during the entire period the Students Company program is implemented at school as well as to be continuously informed on the possibilities or services that exist to be supported as future entrepreneurs.
This campaign is organized by JAA in the frame of the project Balkans Youth: Linking Education, Abilities and Partnership Potential in Regional Employment Practice (BY LEAP), funded by the European Union. The project aims to strengthen the participation of grassroots CSOs and youth initiatives in regional network, and ensure sustainability of young entrepreneurs (student/youth) companies through demonstration and training/mentoring activities. The efforts are aiming toward improving the policy environment and supporting human and institutional capacity/workforce development initiatives that respond to the needs of the CSO’s and local/grassroots beneficiaries. The overall objective is to contribute to youth entrepreneurship opportunities and strengthen employment perspectives of youth in the Western Balkans.
